I have learned through experience it's best to always recycle listings unless you're 100% confident there is no risk in removal. Many sellers can easily fall into the trap of "it's working now", and take it for granted.

Having more sales on a listing does boost higher conversion but it's not worth it long term.

I have figured out a set amount I will sell on particular items, then end the listing and "sell similar", which refreshes it.

You never know how many people could have spam reported your listing over any given period of time. There are many factors in play, easy fix is simply ending the listing and starting over.
