Payment hold for +8 or +30 days after delivery
 

Hello.
I register hidden accounts and make sales. I have a question that has been bothering me for a long time, and I can't figure out how to solve this bug on eBay.
Account #1 has a hold period of +8 days after delivery.
Account #2 has a hold period of +30 days after the buyer pays. Even after the item has been delivered, it still has a 30-day hold period.
Why? Account #1, with a hold period of +8, has a higher sales amount, was registered later, and has no reviews. Account #2, with a hold period of +30, was registered earlier, and has one positive review...
Why is that? The categories and sales amounts are the same; there is no difference between the accounts...:doh:
These are European accounts.

How old are the accounts in terms of selling activity?

It makes no difference. The 2 accounts are the SAME!

It makes no difference. It's standard risk management on eBay's part.


If you're able to run these two account without interruption, you should be thankful. Learn to work around the payment holds and be happy you're getting payouts at all.

You said "was registered later,"

So it looks like they are not the same.

Holds depend on difference factors: age of the account, prior transactions, ID submission etc

my current account was created in jan 2026. after 60 days my fund holds stopped. ebay is fking weird

I have over 100 accounts, and I create new ones every day... I just gave an example of two, there's a two-day difference between them. I understand it's some kind of randomness during registration: sometimes eBay likes my account, sometimes it doesn't.
