Usps -fuel surchagre
The U.S. Postal Service is seeking permission to impose a fuel surcharge on parcel products for the first time ever to cover soaring transportation costs for gasoline and diesel fuel, which have jumped more than 30% since the invasion of Iran by the United States and Israel nearly a month ago.
Parcel shipments would be charged an 8% fee, on top of their regular transportation charge, if the fee is approved. |

The delivery service in the UK raises prices every year in April irrispective of global events. They are restricted on how much they are allowed to increase it by regulators.
Fuel surcharges by them or the other delivery providers must be quite difficult to implement. |

I heard in California ,they are paying $9/gallon,probably more now.
New EV sales are way down,but used EVs sell well |

| Within range of competition, but still the cheapest for a pound and below, that's what I've noticed.
It used to be a VERY noticeable gap in affordability, but not so much anymore. |

AMZN along with Fed Exp,USPS and UPS are all carriers,in fact some said it is bigger than some of its competitors.
So for those AMZN third party sellers relying on AMZN fullfillment,their shipping and handling rate will be going up.
Some days I see more AMZN Blue Care vans than Fed Exp or UPS in my neighborhood.
Does AMZN still have its own private planes and airports? |

Public records shows that Amazon has 100s of planes. All leases moving various routes. |

Those mall locations are situated in areas where there is good road and close to communities so they can deliver your orders same or next day.
But this is bad for smaller shops in the malls ,the anchored stores such as Macy,Dillard used to draw traffic and now they are on their own .
