It takes your money and settle with UPS at the end of the month, notice what is on the shipping label,it should have its UPS account number !!
You can also print UPS/FedExp labels on Ebay,I assume Ebay takes our money and turn it over to the carrier.

I send a few dozen orders every day. If this isn't something you can scale, maybe I can at least use you for the one-off large order.

I usually send everything with USPS since they're the cheapest but sending small parcels across the country now costs $6 or more. So I was just curious.

I personally wouldn't trust labels generated by a third party, even if it's officially in the couriers system, regardless of price, but that's just me.

I'd tend to agree - the quality assurance of delivery being made and buyer being happy might be subject to some issues :(

I more or less wanted to understand what's being done and how. Could be crypto postage using a pilfered wallet for all I know.

Yep amongst other things such as potentially being able to redirect your high valued good elsewhere or any other uncertainties..

What I would recommend you guys if you want to get cheaper international shipper rates use an official 3rd party compare company (e.g. Parcelcompare / Parcel hero), as they tend to be cheaper than going directly to FedEx for example. (something that costs £150 to ship directly with FedEx acc costs £40-50 with my method for example)

You can purposely make the dimension size of your parcels 1x1x1cm 0.1kg and they will accept the consignment. Use AI to change the dimensions/weight values on the label before you print. Use a virtual card on checkout, delete it after, they can't bill the difference after delivery. Not morally right but who cares for these big companies profiting the way they do.

Courier companies make enough money as it is so yeah why not lel

There is another way but not cheaper-
There was a time time sensitive.urgent documents going to UK(London business district),you can apply to be the carrier, you get to fly into London, deliver the documents and stay overnite in a hotel plus meals and get back home next day.
If you want to stay longer, you pay .
(I dont understand why they do not use DHL.Fed Exp or UPS,that must be 20 years ago, around 2000)

Thanks to eBay international shipping I would never need a 3rd party for international.

I think we scared the guy off. Hit me up with a free sample of the service, @randler.

I don't trust shipping internationally via eBay because they will declare the full value of the item your selling. Most buyers ask me to under declare. In my business where I sell £10-20k items, I always under declare otherwise I lose a sale. Nobody wants to pay an extra few grand on imports. That's why I use my own shipping arrangements internationally..

It's such a different animal in the US. I can pay $20 for First Class international postage and then half the time end up having to refund the buyer anyway because the package takes too long to arrive. With eBay international, they take care of all the customs paperwork and I get a lot more international buyers because as a massive fortune 500 they're able to get much lower rates than me. They deal with all the headaches.. all I have to do is get the order to their facility a few states away.

True but are your buyers happy to pay the extra import charges? This usually kills a sale for me..

The way it works (using Ebay intl shipping),once they place the order,he will offer free or domestic shipping to an outfit in Kentucky, an outfit which is a joint venture between Ebay and Pitney Bow will bill the buyer the intl shipping fee (postage, tarriff, tax whatever).
It would be too late for the buyer to back out, unless he asks seller to cancel the order.
The exact cost of the intl part of shipping is not shown on his listing as the buyer could be from any country,he would just have to know his own country import fees .
if this outfit in Kentucky finds out the item is not allowed for export or import to the buyer country or not able to ship overseas due to size or material or??,then it will refund the buyer, let the seller keeps the sales proceeds and sell the item to a local dealer who sells it on Ebay.
One example would be -Australian buyers like to buy used guitar on Ebay, some Thomson guitar due to the wood used is not allowed export, some not allowed to enter Australia.
Then the guitar is back on Ebay for sale,if the seller wants it back,he can buy it on Ebay

Agent's assessment is spot on.

eBay international has been a godsend. I still offer my own international shipping options on my listings but they're so much more expensive than what eBay is offering now, nobody uses them. I have 6-10 orders going to eBay's international hub every week.

That's good info Agent, also shipping with my method if anything happens to the shipment (e.g. lost) your sh*t out of luck.

Yep selling internationally is a pain tbh, especially when buyers decide they want to return/refund and you have to pay for the return label with no say in the matter, regardless whether the buyer has a valid excuse for return or not (net loss on shippings alone £100-120 + risk of loss during transit).

I still can't believe the 30 day return policy though.. The timeframe alone is excessive, not to mention buyers can easily abuse this policy with buyers remorse/regret purchases, despite receiving the correct item and having worn/used the item for nearly a month..

Even with my cheaper method of shipping, still costs about £50-60 for medium/large parcels UK-US for e.g., but as we know eBay don't care at all about their sellers so there goes that

Does Ebay still have the 30 days return policy?
There must be some entrepreneur in UK who offers cheaper overseas shipping ,UK has many immigrants from India,China etc,may be they have cheaper way to ship /
We have a large Vietnamese community in Houston,a few hundred thousand strong ,they have outfits which will wire your money and send your packages home for less.
IF you can find someone you can trust in US who will accept your bulk shipments and then ship them to your US buyers via USPS .

Yeah so I do have a similar agent when I ship things from China to the west, but if I'm shipping high valued goods, I tend to stick to FedEx and pay for the most expensive shipping option (Express Priority 2-3 day delivery) as it minimises risk of loss/damage, costs a lot but peace of mind more important.

Yep 30 day return/refund policy, regardless of reason. Ridiculous

No idea how returns work with eBay international. I've never had anything sent out with that service returned.
