There’s only so much data that can be stored per user. They don’t retain statements on your account forever. Even banks after a certain point delete data.
Just like with anything the newer something is, the more harmful, essentially no different than credit scores.
There are two different things going on also. A bot placing a risk factor on your account vs current variables and a human reviewing it by whichever means he/she wants.
A good analogy is applying for a credit card/loan. You could be pre-approved which is the algo assessing your credit score etc etc, but it still needs an underwriting approval which is a human who can pull up anything old and/or things not directly on the report like evictions
