Activity: 4% Longevity: 11% | | Ebay shipping labels. Just a couple of questions
Hi. I never used ebay shipping labels. I have a couple of questions :
1 If I buy them and print them, do I just need to bring the mail (or packet)to the post office for them to collect them and ship them? I'm in Italy.
2 When you have a stealth account (and so with a different address from the one where you live), regarding the option of them coming to collect the item from your house, is there a way to make it happen, or it's just not possible?
Thank you.

Thank you. | Just to clarify - in Italy, they can come to you address (the one on the account) and collect?

In US,we can ask our local post office to pick up our mail, but at least one of the pieces would have to be USPS priority or better,to make it worthwhile .
Private carriers like Fed Exp and UPS would also come to pick up,retail stores and offices do this all the time, but not sure if private resident can do it free.
To your question if it matters that your ship from address on the package is different from the pick up address(assume this is your home address),USPS carriers would not bother to check, nont know about Italian post office

You're unlikely to get an accurate answer. I haven't seen anyone here flying an Italian flag since ilcarletto or whatever their name is.
The way it works in the US.. you just take the packages to the post office. The return address doesn't matter.

Hey! Here’s how to handle both of those:
1. Yep, it really is that simple. Just buy the label, print it, stick it on your parcel, and drop it off at Poste Italiane or your local drop shop. It's already pre-paid, so you literally just hand it over to be scanned and walk out.
2. For home collections on a stealth account, you have to be careful. Whatever you do, don't book the pickup directly through eBay. If you type your real home address into their system for the driver, eBay will log it and instantly link your accounts.
The easy workaround is to just buy your shipping completely outside of eBay. Go directly to the courier's website or use a standalone site like Packlink. When you fill out the details, type your stealth address as the "return address" (so that's what prints on the label), but enter your real house for the actual driver pickup location.
Once it's booked, just copy the tracking number and paste it manually into your eBay order. That way, the courier comes right to your door, but eBay never gets anywhere near your real address.
What is preventing you from doing number 1 everyday, it's simpler, easier and not too inconvenient.

Thank you. | Always drop parcels off at the post office, never collections, just my opinion.
As for returns, if your address has been banned in the past, you are fine to use a previously eBay banned address as a return address, don't ask me why I recently just discovered this. eBay don't care if the return address is a previously banned one.
Was using a friends address for the return address driving to his every so often for no reason haha, although I'm still skeptical of using previously banned addresses on the return address.

What is preventing you from doing number 1 everyday, it's simpler, easier and not too inconvenient. | Even organising the shipment outside eBay using your true address (previously banned by eBay) can show on the shipping detail, if eBay really wanted to investigate you they could see it by using the shipping addresses (receiver/sender + tracking ID) and see your collection / shippers address.
Best to avoid all of this entirely and simply print your label and drop it off at your nearest drop off point, don't risk it. It's also good to get some exercise!

They are new hired and just completed training, they take all the rules serioulsly !
They are no longer working in that post office, they have been promoted to VP for sure

I think they don't care about return addresses to be honest, doesn't make sense and probably don't link a bad address to it, but it works and it's a huge convenience thing for me so I will keep it for now..
