is skype safe to download... will my ebay accounts be banned

iam downloading skype to talk to a buddy of mines whos fighting overseas.... i didnt get a number just for the messaging... will this conflict with my stealth ebay accounts? I know they use to be affiliated with ebay.....

In the past I have actually confirmed my PayPal account using Skype. One time was really weird ....... It was when I was using the PayPal plugin & I got a call regarding fraud & security for a small transaction they wanted to make sure I made the transaction. Anyways I called the number back using Skype since it was the confirmed number on my PayPal account and when you call it repeats the number back & the number that they repeated to me was totally different then my Skype number. So I bet since they own Skype probably whenever it calls PayPal it probably calls in on a universal number just a heads up. Here's the number if anyone wants to test it out. 1 800 830 8574
