Changing name on old account
 

Good morning dear fellows. To preface, I haven't done any eBay selling in about 5 years and I'm not up to date with what eBay is up to on the security side.

I started a new IT job recently and got my paws on a work eBay account with 100+ feedback (no seller feedback or seller account enabled) that is no longer used at all. I want to "transfer" it to myself (fresh, unused ID) and start selling again.

- The account has the registered name set as "business name - IT support" which will obviously need to be changed to get seller verified
- The account is being signed into via the same devices, IP and cookies as it originally was.
- I logged into it for the first time a month ago and almost immediately enabled 2FA and installed the eBay app on the work phone.
- I made a legit purchase on the account a few weeks ago.

I've been out of the eBay game for quite a while and need some pointers:

Is changing the registered account name likely to trigger anything?
Is adding a new card/bank account for withdrawal likely to trigger anything?
When I go to sell it asks for ID which is the same as before. But, will I get asked for selfie verification? Selfie verification wasn't a thing in 2020. (Australia)
Should I attempt the above on the original computer the account was accessed on or the phone app which was installed recently? Does it matter?

if the account is on MP and you change the name it will be suspended

if the account is not on MP you register it for MP with any details that can be verified

You should not be changing the registration info willy-nilly - it can cause problems.
