ebay business selling limits
 

does anybody know what qualifies to get high selling limits when opening an new ebay business account registration

some accounts I get 25/700 limits
others 5000/50k limits

what do they look for to receive high selling limits??

Likely the more "verifiable" info (i.e. real searchable info) the better for initial selling limits these days...?

what's the obsession with selling limits? new accounts have low limits anyway regardless of which limits they are officially assigned to

if you have luck you may be able to safely make a turnover of $1K-$2K per month on a new account , even this is much and easily leads to suspension

wrong..... I clearly stated i just opened new accounts less than 24hrs ago with 5000/50k limits and some with 25/750 limits

There is no publicly available method to guarantee that a newly registered eBay business account will initially receive a sales limit of 5,000/50,000. The initial sales limit is primarily determined automatically by eBay's risk control system, and is not simply based on whether it is a business account.

I don't think they're stupid. Tbh, they've expertly worked around the threat posed by Amazon over the last ten years. They've appropriated their advertising budget wisely and have managed to maintain the relevance they've had since the 90's when they were the first player in the game.

I'm super thankful for those guys even if I do get frustrated with them.



eBay - I know you guys are in the background. My only real complaint is the fact that Mercari is able to get USPS labels for $4.91. Why can't you guys get that discount for us?

Mercari must have applied to USPS ,but it is much smaller and low volume,if Ebay does the same,USPS would say NO.
USPS has raised First Class stamp to 82 cents.
Do you know how much it pays for gas?and pension?

Pretty direct and simple - good call - easy enough to figure on what factors come into play with the "risk score" assessment.

You don't need higher seller limits when starting off.

You want to maintain sales under x10-20, $100-200 for the first month, then no more than a few thousand $ in the following.

Once you get the ball rolling and start nearing your limits, with good seller metrics they will increase your limits.
