How Are Sellers Promoting Their Own Websites Through eBay Listings? Looking for Advic

Hi everyone,

I have noticed several eBay sellers who are not actually selling products directly on eBay. Instead, their listings are being used to promote their own websites, where customers are redirected to purchase the product.

Recently, I even came across a few relatively new accounts (around 3–4 days old, based in Poland) that had listings with no real intention of selling on eBay. Their product images and description clearly instructed buyers to visit their website and purchase there instead.

I sell digital products and would like to understand how this is being done. My goal is not necessarily to process sales through eBay, but to use eBay as a way to generate traffic and direct interested customers to my website.

I have already tried creating eBay accounts using different setups, including residential proxies, virtual phone numbers, anti-detect browsers, and VPS servers with Poland and Romania profiles. However, every account was suspended shortly after creating a listing, usually within 3–10 minutes. I never even managed to keep an account active for more than a day.

For those who have experience with this:

How are these sellers able to keep such listings active?
Are they using aged accounts or specific verification methods?
Is there a legitimate way to advertise a website through eBay listings without getting suspended?
Are there any requirements, documents, or account history needed before attempting this?

I would appreciate any insights or advice from members who have experience with this type of setup.

Also, if anyone is selling an account suitable for this purpose, or can help set up such a listing, please feel free to send me a DM with details and pricing.

My main goal is to understand how these listings are created and kept active. Even if the listing stays live for only 7–10 days, that would be perfectly fine for my needs.
I am ready to pay
Thank you

Nobody is doing that successfully. Screenshot you posted is some scammer with a brand new zero feedback account. The listing will probably be dead by the end of the day.

The people who do things like this are the reason it feels like the walls are closing in with ecommerce.

The only way you can contact your buyer outside Ebay is send them a postcard or include a note in the package you sent them.

The number of people who are going to bother typing in a URL from a ebay product image, even if it gets thousands of views, must be close to zero.

Ship something and include a business card with the order.

People aren't stupid. Anyone who sees this listing before eBay takes it down is going to recognize it as the scam that it is. A good eBay account is being sacrificed for no gain in traffic.. Just buy a google ad.

Listen to PharZ,if Ebay catches you doing this,it will be a black mark .
it wont last 5-6 days,Ebay bots roam the site 24/7,botS not bot.
try selling something dirt cheap and ship your business card with no tracking along with whatever you sold in first class envelope 82 cents.
I doubt if it is worth your efforts,Ebay buyers are a bunch cheap bottomfeeders.
(I just read you are in India, unless you have someone to do it for you in USA,it wont work)

These listings eventually get taken down, account restrictions follow.

I highly advise against ALL digital sales.

You are unprotected from eBay's protection programs as they are unable to prove you delivered the product, therefore in the event of any disputes, the buyer will win and you will receive future potential "case resolved without seller resolution", incurring penalties and eventually account suspensions.

Don't bother

SaiJin has a lot to deal with as a very active mod here so there's likely something offsetting about your activity :( 25 posts (maybe quality posts?) needed to DM etc.
