8,288 EUR disappeared from my balance overnight with no transaction, no payout
 

My eBay.de seller account was permanently suspended on 13 July 2026 and the remaining balance has been held since then.

Yesterday my balance was 14,210.25 EUR. eBay customer service had confirmed that exact figure to me in writing.

Today it shows 5,921.78 EUR.

So 8,288.47 EUR is gone, and there is no record of it anywhere:

- On hold (Einbehalten): 0.00 EUR
- Processing (In Bearbeitung): 0.00 EUR
- Payouts tab: 3 payouts total, the most recent on 1 July 2026. Nothing in September.
- Transaction report: no entry at all on 22 or 23 September
- My bank (Wise, the same account that received every previous payout): nothing received

I emailed eBay the day before asking them to release the funds manually, and the balance changed overnight.

So my question: when eBay releases held funds manually on a suspended account, can it happen that nothing shows up in the payouts tab or the transaction report, and the money is simply in transit? Or has anyone had a balance silently reduced like this and later found out what it actually was?

Customer service has given me three different hold periods so far (60-190 days, then 250 days), so I don't really trust what they tell me.

Germany / eBay S.à r.l. if that matters. Any experience appreciated.

That type of suspension is usually for fraud so it's unlikely you'll be getting that money back.


This reminds me of the Paypal AUP violations a lot of people here posted about a few years ago. They'd make the seller wait 6 months, then a few days before the balance would be eligible for withdrawal Paypal would transfer all the funds to themselves.

Today is the day when the full amount was supposed to be released. If what you said is true and the funds were going to be left in the account, why would they leave any money in the account in the first place?

Also, the products have already been delivered, and there is absolutely no issue with them. This has nothing to do with fraud. The only reason for the issue is that they were unable to verify my identity.

I would wait 48 hours for an update on your eb platform - perhaps the amount was transferred to your bank on file...hopefully - if not then yes, likely seized by eb due to whatever allegation

They consider that fraud. At least they didn't take all of your money.


Could be that they only took the money for the worst offending sales, but who knows..

I upload my passport, correct document but do not accept it bu i already upload 2 months ago accepted second request i sent same document do not accept.

if identity was not verified your question is obsolete as nothing will be paid out

if it is true you were holding 14K on balance ebay never pay out this kind of money to suspended accounts. they will always reject any docs you send as they want to keep the money. only exception is if it is a verified account with extensive selling history registered in a country where account owner is likely to take them to court

ebay works in a different way than what you imagine. if you want to have withdrawals of such a size you start little , increase sales over many months and then after several years and extensive selling history and turnover your account would be able to withdraw such amounts. but if you just sell quickly , amass this balance they suspend account and seize the money
