| | | spookycloud | 01-04-2010 05:31 PM | Lots of packages from china? Is it possible to get 8 boxes from china using just 2 different po boxes but with the same name on the packages or would they think they are the same person and address? |
| oompaloompa | 01-04-2010 06:45 PM | who are you worried about - customs? If a name and address gets blacklisted, ie gets searched and confiscated once, depending on the hub, some/all subsequent packages for that name and address may get stopped, depends on severity and size of the contents.
It is more the address than name that is issue... |
| Burst | 01-04-2010 07:18 PM | Thats why you guys need anon drops or people to open boxes for you. Or business boxes. |
| spookycloud | 01-08-2010 09:53 PM | Im confused still lets say 4 packages are going to one po box and all 4 get seized. Then another 4 packages are going to another po box with the same name will those 4 get seized also? |
| SevnSins | 01-09-2010 10:34 AM | customs is an address based system. the first infraction doesn't stop all future packages, but I don't ever reuse an address that has been flagged anymore. Over the course of 2 years, I used the same address, and had 2 packages seized when i was in that business. i recommend opening a couple PO Box in a business name, and add several ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names. always have the packages sent to a name that isn't yours, and just pickup the packages as a business representative.
there is a huge risk in what your doing, and i think you should take precautions to protect yourself. |
| teedon | 01-12-2010 09:04 AM | you had better ship the goods to more different address from china, china custom also very stick for the lot packages same time. |
| floralone | 01-14-2010 05:22 PM | Just don't send it the same day! |
| teedon | 01-15-2010 10:25 PM | 1 days for 2 packages for 1 address is safe, and it is safe or not ,that also depend on what products you shipping. |
| cuteandy | 01-24-2010 06:38 AM | for my experience, no problem for small packages. But for large, they are likely to be opened by the custom. |

| cuteandy | 01-25-2010 06:35 AM | If it is around 20KG, it's large enough.
And if it looks like a shoes box, it's likely to be opened.
But it also depends on which custom. Beijing will be OK now and Shanghai custom will be more strict for EXPO. |
| teedon | 01-25-2010 08:08 AM | 20kg is not problem,i am sending many packages(dvds) of over 20kgs to uk,usa, never get problem with custom by EMS.But you can not write "dvds" on it,you need to write "TV spare parts" or some unbrand decription. No fedex,No ups, otherwise you will get many problems with custom |
| Sphynx cat | 01-25-2010 12:07 PM | Is EMS the safest way to ship from China to USA?
How hard is it to get cosmetics through customs?
What do you suggest to put on the outside of the box if cosmetics are the contents in the box.
Thanks |
| Enigma | 01-25-2010 12:35 PM | I found that DHL is the best way to receive big packages. Receive packages within 4-5 days, and never have had problems with customs. I receive all packaging directly to my doorstep with no problems. |
| aking | 01-25-2010 03:33 PM | One of my suppliers in China ships UPS - packages arrive in 3 days. My packages are fairly small. |
| teedon | 01-26-2010 05:30 AM | if you are local in middle of USA,it will be very dangerous,if you want to import the copy products from oversea,as the chicago custom check very stickly, special for the brand and copy products. Please attention |
| cuteandy | 01-26-2010 06:43 AM | you must provide proof if use UPS or DHL or TNT |

To give you an idea. There are literally 1000's of brown packages of all shapes and sizes in a customs sorting zone literally wrapped in tape. There is no logical way to determine whats in a package simply by looking at its exterior for most packages. Even packages that ARE shoe boxes won't get checked because there is nothing suspicious about a pair of shoes coming from China. Its where most products ARE made.
What customs is looking for are multiple packages going to the same address marked as gifts. This is an indication of someone trying to avoid customs duties or taxes. I've had boxes of 6 pairs of replica shoes opened and still delivered to me with no problem.
The only time I've ever had a package seized was through Chinese customs. |
| spookycloud | 01-26-2010 08:46 PM | Well I have seen alot of suppliers offering tnt and dhl as shipping methods as they arrive in 2-4 days anyone know if its as safe as ems or if you have to pay taxes....I might try it out. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:09 PM. | |
