| | | EmptyPockets | 01-04-2010 05:50 PM | Ebay Buyer Dispute...what is likely outcome? I have a buyer that is angry with me & shipping timeframe etc. and has filed an ebay dispute.
Item was shipped out in time for them to receive before Christmas but UPS rescheduled delivery without any kind of prior notice to me. I just saw it in the tracking info as being rescheduled and it put delivery the day after christmas. Tracking was entered in both ebay & paypal as soon as issued.
I have done the ebay live chat support and also responded to dispute with tracking info showing it was delivered to buyers front door. Ebay is now investigating because the buyer has now gotten a chance to respond to this and has escalated the case. :mad2:
Will I likely lose this battle? |
| oompaloompa | 01-04-2010 06:37 PM | well, did you guarantee it for christmas, Im assuming you did either expressly or by implication, in which case, can you claim from UPS, did you take out a guaranteed date service?
As for paypal dispute, well buyer did get it, and they are not saying anything bad about product other than it was late, you explained this rescheduling to buyer, what did they say?
Paypal will likely request a return and refund.... |

This was an ebay dispute, not paypal - at least yet it isnt.
I did not claim any items would be received before christmas in listing, I just say it should have arrived in time due to the fact it shipped out on Dec. 18th via UPS and had an estimated delivery date, then all the sudden tracking info showed as delivery rescheduled and now buyer is likely trying to get a freebie. |

The USPS, UPS and FedEx won't guarantee by Christmas that time of year.
What the dispute opened for non receipt? As stated earlier, if the tracking proves it was delivered, don't worry about it. If they hit you with negative feedback, just respond to it saying they would only pay for regular shipping a a week before Christmas.
Good luck. |

This is completely an "item never received" complaint and it shows as delivered to buyers FRONT DOOR. I guess someone could have stolen it off his front porch but does that make me liable for his loss? He could live in the ghetto for all I know  |
