Default Listing removed but strange reason

Title of the email read: MC019 eBay Listing Removed: Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item (............)

However in the body this is the reason:

The listing was removed because it violated eBay policy.

- Listing item in a Private Auction

For a safe shopping experience on eBay and to make buyers feel confident about their purchases, we will at times remove certain listings from the site.

Unfortunately, your item was removed because of the way it was listed. Our concerns included:

To make sure you're following eBay policies and to help you avoid listing removals in the future, please take a minute to read and understand our selling guidelines. Go to:
Selling with improved results

Thank you for your cooperation. As always, we sincerely value you for being part of the eBay community.

You may need to take a tutorial. The next time you sell, you may be asked to take the tutorial, if it's required. Once you've completed the tutorial successfully, please review your account status for any other possible concerns. If there are no other issues, you should be able to sell again.

WTH is that? I haven't sold since November on this account but I always did private listings. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem recently. I received a "Limited selling history" Violation which I never seen! It was plain stupid! So I argued about it messaging them back. They said they are sorry on behalf of ebay it was a error on there part. Your damn right!

Try messaging them about it on what happened here/how to resolve. Maybe you put it in the wrong category? I never seen this one before.

Might be some buyer reported you.Ebay can still remove ended listing if it not over 90 days old. They do that because it will notify all listing buyers the listing has cancelled because of VERO.Some buyer can file chargeback for it because ebay told them it is ⊗⊗⊗⊗!This is a hard atteck to VERO sellers. If a seller use good til cancel or long time listing with many buyers in 1 listing, all the buyer will get notified and if they all open disputes in paypal your account will simply dead soon because of too many claims.Ebay don't even need to take VERO suspension they could just watch you dead by other ways..

So be awared of this!!!If you selling vero, only list 1 item per listing for short time.Never do long time muti-item listing!!!

I have been selling "high end" socks for over 5 years. This particular brand is a vero member but doesn't touch the socks for some reason. They will pull an auction if you try to use their stock photos but do not touch the other items. (knock on wood) I just recently decided to take all precautions and started listing them all as private. Hopefully without issues. I'm pretty sure egay has caught on the the pvt listing thing.
