Somebody has to remember this....
 

Last summer, I found a site that had the craigslist snapshots of past years. The site would let you pick day, for example April 24, 2008, and the craigslist site would show what it looked like on that day.

Anyone remember the site? This would settle a controversy I have with a coworker who thought I couldn't prove his stupidness of selling my 2 computers when I was out of town. My friend saw the ad and recognized the phone number and this would be enough to suffice a court order for repayment. I tried searching but to no avail. Hopefully the site is still up and running as it would be a good thing for my case.

And btw, the date above is not the date I was referring to as that would be impossible to remember that far back. It happened in the first week of December.

I remember a site called "something flashback" or similar that archived in the way you mention but I cannot find it now. May not be up anymore

is there anyway to delete you own website content on the way back machine?

Actually that last website was not it. The site had the same home page screen of how craigslist looks and you can click on the categories and the listings appear. IF you left it on your screen and someone tried to search, they wouldn't know the differnece unless looking at the dates of the postings. I know, weird, but I seen it one time and don't remember where I went to get it.

But I have a feeling that it may have been shut down as it must not have been that hard to find. Like the saying goes, when you need something, you just can't find, and when you see it, you just can't use it.
