Torchwood ebay episode
 

Anyone watching Torchwood in the USA? They are a sci-fi show set in modern day.

Their whole episode last Saturday was about ebay. They had a guy who tried to sell an alien artifact on ebay. It wasn't selling then his two friends FREAKING SHILL BID like crazy on it.

Oh and the main seller's feedback was 99.7. -- This is as opposed to "Transformers The Movie" where they had a ton of photoshopped pictures of ebay where "Welcome, [person's username]" (I forgot the exact username) appeared when he wasn't logged in and was on the ebay guest page. Then without logging in, the guy did two keyboard clicks and was logged in, at his auction that was a photoshopped image of an ebay auction. The guy also had 100% feedback and I think the feedback number was 100, also.

Well at least on Torchwood, the guy had gotten a neg in there somewhere.

Though, the episode of Torchwood just ignored the whole shill bidding issue like it was allowed on ebay.

The item also sold for over 15,000 brittish pounds (basically twice the amount in dollars) and the guy's friends tried to force him to give it up for about 30 pounds by force. The show ignored the fact that the guy would have about 300 pounds or so in ebay fees.

Yeah, eBay is everywhere... I read this article the other day about confiscated airline items going for sale on eBay. Airlines are using eBay to sale their stuff! Wtf?

I cant even lie. That was a good move on Ebay part. They were marketing the heck out of their site in that transformers movie. basically the whole show was about Ebay..lol

Everybody was talking out loud in the movies like " Thats Ebay right there"

and in return for ebays spaming they had transfromers stuff plasterd all over there main page for like a whole month before the relase of the movie in theaters

also the ebay name on transfomers was something like ladiesman225077 or some crap like that which is a name with 0 feedback when i did a search on it

wonder who owns the id
