Digital delivery on eBay not using PayPal

Hello all,

I am looking to get away from PayPal entirely and would like to pick someones brain about how to go about doing what I have been doing on eBay for so long until PayPal decided to close my account.

What I offer on eBay is a digital product (nothing illegal). However, to allow my buyer to have a seamless transaction right down to receiving their digital goods, I have been using PayPal's IPN in conjunction with Ebay Assist and SmartDD to instantaneously deliver the digital goods to my customs upon successfully submitting payment through PayPal. However, since PayPal is now out of the picture, I am looking for someone to teach me how I can accomplish this same seamless process and still list my auctions as buy it now.

If anyone can point me in the right direction of an inexpensive (or not, just as long as it works) alternative to accomplish these selling preferences, it would be much appreciated.

Also, would something like this require a Merchant account such as; MerchantPlus linked through a PayFlow account? Or would I be able to accomplish this in some other way? Please PM me with details or just reply to this thread.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I use a merchant account along with eProcessing Network to take payments online. eProcessing Network has something similar to Paypal's IPN. The other big online gateway for merchant accounts is Authorize.net, which also has a similar process.

You could set it up so when a payment is received, an item gets emailed or a thank you page is displayed with the link to download. The hardest part is getting the customer to the new page to checkout.

So, nothing that integrates into eBays checkout is available that will allow for the same process? Also, what exactly do you mean by "The hardest part is getting the customer to the new page to checkout"? Are you posting a link to your checkout page on your eBay listings? I have done this before in the past, and some people do actually click on it. But, I need to stay away from allowing them to click on the buy it now button all together unless I can find a payment process that will integrate like paypal does, and the only other way to do this is by using eBay's classified ads listings. However, I am not sure how good the search results will be using a classified ad instead of the normal auction format.

Also, how long does it usually take for you to get your money deposited into your personal account after it clears the merchant processor?
