My Ebay account was closed a week ago. Today my EX-girlfriend emailed me with an Ebay notice stating they closed her account because it was linked to my account somehow. She did not create the account on my PC, but when living here 6 months ago, she may have logged on a time or two (with her own laptop). This sounds a little crazy to me, can EB legally do this?

They closed down me because I bid on an auction run by a seller who had blocked me. They then closed down my husband and my 2 adult children as they had at one time or another logged onto their ebay accounts by my home computer. They have told all of us this action is "indefinite" (permanent) as I violated their unwelcome bidder rules. They do not care that my husband and kids had nothing to do with this bid. I am now hoping that various visiting friends who have used my computer over the years did not log into their accounts while borrowing my computer. Legal? They are a private company and can apparently do whatever they want but it is ridiculous and patently unfair. I don't see how you can fight them absent a lengthy and expensive legal action.
Yeah, crazy right? My ex logged on over a year ago here, and I have had a few other friends who have checked their accounts a time or two. I'm crossing my fingers on those accounts.
