identity confirmation?
 

i have a 1+ year old account i am trying to sell low risk items from... when i went to finalize the listing...i get the "Please confirm your identity with live chat" what do I need to do to get past this?

yeah have to chat to a ebay employee. Make sure u got all the personal info with the account cause u will need it.

Contact live chat. Make sure you have password,security question & birthday...they just want to check you are you: and you are:cheer:

Got the same problem, but on a canadian aged account that I bought off a seller on this forum, I have everything but the DOB, is there anyway to find the DOB or get around it when talking to them on the phone?

Anyone know if they ask DOB when you are asked to call to confirm your identity? is it possible to say you don't remember what dob you put when you signed up or something?

lol yeah, that's why I am wondering if they ask for it 100% when you call?

Nothing is 100% with ebay or paypal.. They may ask for it, or they may not, every account is treated differently.

In the LiveChat chat, you need to persuade the staffer that you are that person on the account. Be creative, be polite and relax about talking. Control the chat to keep it away from that DOB;)

Listen to what Doughboy, GreenBean and Lakeman have to say! How you choose to go about it is your way, but I would have ALL information I needed printed off laying right in front of me ready to answer when I called Live Chat.
Don't worry..you'll answer a couple of questions and more than likely be off the phone in a minute or less.
