What are good pricing strategies?

What are good pricing strategies? General ones.

Here's two commonly suggested ones that don't work: By the way pricing things really low ends up with all your items selling at starting bid and buyers thinking you sell cheap junk. Putting a buyit now a few dollars above your opening bid doesn't work and results in lost ebay fees unless you're buy it now is extremely low and making your margins extremely low.

Does the "buy it now at a high price or best offer" ever work for any of you? I have seen people do that.

Buy It Now with a high price with best offer generally got me a really high best offer - like $2-3 less than the Buy It Now price. This is what I will be doing again when I get back up and running.

It all depends on how popular the item is. I always do research before starting the auctions. Some factors: How many like items are selling at that moment? When will they end? Is it trendy? I don't think you can apply one method for all products. You have to know your products.

Of course, that is true. It was referring to my experience with my product.s
