ebay from 01 pay the bill or not?
 

I have a very old account from ebay that I have not used in a very long time. eBay fees are about $60

I need to know if I can pay the bill and still be able to use paypal with it. the paypal account that I used to use with it was limit back in 03, they said it was limits because of a family member paypal account in the negative.

My paypal account was not in the negative, they said it was my mom account. That I had nothing to do with.

If you pay these fees it will not affect Paypal at all.

Chances are that if you pay the fees then email ebay customer services then they may reinstate the ebay account if non payment of these $60 was the reason that it was suspended in the first place.

If there were any other reasons they may insist on the full verification, ie where you have to fax your main indentity documents to them.

Even if you do all this for ebay and do get the ebay account up and running, you will have to do exactly the same for Paypal. Even though they are owned by the same Paypal will definetely require your identity documents faxed to them aswell.

My personal advice would be to not bother at all with both this ebay and Paypal account.

I would advise you to purchase the ebook and search the forums and then create a new stealth ebay and Paypal account and start again.

Will be far easier IMHO.

Maybe the account will be OK....if you use another paypal that might get limited.

The other bonus of using a new ebay account is you can write the $60 fees off. (I am assuming in this case you can as raven states the account is "very old"

I already have a new eBay account that I have been using sense 04 I'm also a PowerSeller..

On my old paypal account that is limit they do have my ssn I just wish I could fix it .
And my mom account they also have her ssn I think my mom account is like -$600 I'm not really sure why her account in the negative.

And the only reason my account was limit at paypal is because we had the same address


eBay did tell me a year ago that if paid the fees they would reinstate my account.

And paypal told me that they would lift my limit if my mom paid her balance lol that was years ago lol

ah the whole SSN thing makes a difference. It may be worth considering if it is possible with little effort to get both accounts reinstated for the sake of $60.

I dont use SSN and am not aware fully of the implications of it, maybe one of the US users could advise further?
