eBay phone verification - on some accounts, on others not?
I recently made a few new eBay accounts and started selling 1-2 items per week. I noticed on one account, my listing was killed within 2 hours and I was asked to confirm a telephone number (and receive the call with the PIN number) to start listing again. On another account, I've listed over 10 items so far without ever being asked to confirm a phone number. Are they just randomly picking accounts for verification? I don't think they could call all new accounts created every day...

It just happened to me.. not that it's a problem as I provided a "working" phone number.. but I wish these customers would just mind their own business sometimes.
It's weird. I sell the same things (different photos and different design, of course) on all accounts.
