use broadband for 95% of your stuff to
Use auctiva do your listings, scheduling
photobucket for your picture hosting
a web based email client (googlemail or hotmail) for your emails and admin
You really only need to be using dial up for when you have to log into your eBay account properly
All you would then be doing would be, marking items as paid/shipped, pay your fees, arrange your relists (if you have not automated them to auto relist)
Using dial up for the whole process is just crazy
The concern is when you are about to access your ebay or paypal account, you need to be the IP address you are is not the one that got you banned in the past
^ yup exactly.
i upload all my pics to a web server, do the auction html,
then login through dialup, paste the html, write the basic stuff, upload thumbnail and list (this is if i dont already have a saved template, then just 2 clicks and done)
#1 answering all those annoying questions from buyers requires a login to ebay since most buyers have non-working emails (often due to spam filters) or just don't check their email and so they act like you ignored them if answer by regular email and plus that also gives buyers your IP address. Please half of buyers will even hide their email address from you in contact even after they won one of their auctions.
#2 do you folks really mark paid/shipped? That seems like a big waste of time and I never do it.
i hate the people that do not check their email. I have automatic auction ending emails that goes straight to their email address. and I use andale and it automatically marks paid/ship.
