Wierd problem with very old ebay account.
 

Hi, i am new to the askpin forums but i think they are great and after reading many of the forums i think im going to invest in ebay stealth - so thanks to everyone in the forums for all there usefull information...

But i cannot find anything on this subject...

I have a really old ebay account that i havent used for years, but everytime i try and log on it lets me but takes me to this page -


Enter the numbers that you see in the image

Change the image | Listen to the numbers
Get a stronger password
*Change it now
*Remind me later
Continue

I always put the code in and i have tried pressing change it now and remind me later. When i click continue it just takes me back to the log-in page!

I have also tried changing the password, i have done it with them ringing my phone and entering the code to get to the reset page, and by answering the questions and recieving the email - with the link to the password reset page - but when i type in the new password it ALWAYS gives me this message :

Session has timed out
Due to prolonged inactivity your password was not changed. Please re-sign in and try again.

So then when i go back to the log-in page it goes back to the start with me trying to enter that code, im just going round in circles.

Please please please help me someone! If anyone has had this problem and got round it i would love to hear how you did it.

Have all your account info ready and go to live help to explain to them your problem, personally I have never had this problem before but thats the best advice I can give to you. :juggle:

Your account has been inactive so existing security systems at ebay want you to update your info. Now, because these systems are c**p, it seldom works. Like banshee said, get your info together, contact live help and (hopefully) sort the problem.:ranger:
