good way to promote your own selling on ebay
 

i made my own selling web last month but hard to get customers.almost ppl go shopping on ebay so is there any good way to make ebay buyers to see my own web?

I'm trying something, dont know if it will work, but for example- my web site name is www.greatcars.com, so my new ebay name im trying to buy/sell from and establish a rep on was created as GREATCARS-COM. Thinking the public would take the hint, to also view the site? May work, may not?

Isn't it against eBay conditions to promote your own website?

yes, thats why you need a clever way for a work around....

BTW- they will not let you create a user id like Greatcars.com, nothing with the "DOT COM"

I used to have my support email address in the auctions and it would have my url.

For example: For help with this item, blah blah contact Support@aspkin.com

It helped.

How about for each question you receive and order you take, you include your URL. This will allow your customers to know that you have a website.

One of my competitors had the link to her site in her listing. She didn't say it was her website or anything. But, rather for the scent descrip, see here.

Its NOT against Ebay policies to put your website url in the listing. But the trick is you have to link it there for a reason, such as more information about the product your selling, etc...

Make a custom packaging for your product with your website printed on it. A little hint on that package that prices are better at your own store wouldn't hurt as well.

Hi OP ,

There are several ways you could do this:

1. On your eBay user profile page, you can say contact me at: xxx@yourwebsite.com
2. When customer buys from you , there are apps/ add-ons that send a customized email. In that email you can put your website in there.
3. When you ship out the item, you can included a thank you note, with your website . you can mention that your website has the cheapest prices.
4. you can add a 'photo' into your ebay listing which has your website on it. ebays bots cannot scan your photo for a website. however, ebay could still take off your listing if a human ebay worker sees the photo. so there is some risk to #4.

The OP probably doesn't even do e-commerce anymore. They haven't been active here in a decade.
