I've been using private phone for awhile. I only have a cell phone, so I give all my bills and other companies my private phone number so they wont call my cell phone.
This was great while it lasted but Netzero's private phone is totally out of phone numbers. I used evoice but i plan on letting the account sit for awhile 6-18 months and dont want to pay evoices $5 per month fee. Actually the Gift cards will be drained and the phone numbers would no longer be active by the time I begin using these accounts. Anyone aware of any other free phone number services? I may add the evoice number when i decide to sell on the accounts, but i am nervous making any changes on these accounts personal information before selling, because ebay may watch you for a while. Any help would be appreciated! Thx
HAHA! I've spent hours doing the search engine thing... think I made it to page 31 before I found something potentially useful. I'll check out the links I gathered and post them here if they are usefull.
BTW, I think most of you are discounting the urgency of using a working phone number!! If either eBay or Paypal discover you do not have one, you'll soon be history.

I used 10 ⊗⊗⊗⊗ numbers on my 10 ⊗⊗⊗⊗ EB accounts ....no problem at all,, just make sure you get the correct area code .You can not use Houston area code if you register with EB San Diego zip code . Believe me, it works.

In my experience the only way to get in trouble with the phone number is if some knucklehead reports you to ebay for having a non-working number.
That triggers a limitation only, not a suspension, which is something you can fix actually.
All you do in that case is update with a privatephone number or any number that actually works and ebay will call it and leave a pin on the voice mail. Then you go back to ebay, enter the pin to prove your number works and you get right back on. (Had to do it recently. )
