kasabian | 12-04-2007 07:29 AM | Paypal disputes out of the blue, as soon as you're banned from Ebay So for one reason or another, your ebay account has been banned. One of your previous buyers notices this, and decides to try his luck and claim an item he bought from you weeks ago, supposedly hasn’t turned up!
Has this happened to anyone here?
This happened to me on more than one occasion a few months back.
One time, a day after I got banned, a buyer suddenly decided to come out of the woodwork and make a claim that his goods hadn’t turned up, a whole month after the transaction had taken place! I had heard nothing from him prior to this. No “I haven’t recieved my goods yet†messages.
He even mentioned in the paypal dispute, and I quote; “the seller isn’t even a registered ebay member anymoreâ€. He'd obviously thought about this.
This made me absolutely furious. Obviously the b**tard was trying his luck to see what he could get. Well I wasn’t going to lay down and let paypal take the money back and put it into his account.
I went to my mum’s airing cupboard, got an old rag cloth, put it in a jiffy bag, and posted it Recorded Mail. I provided the tracking number to paypal, and the dispute was settled in my favour.
All’s well that ends well. |
