Would you all let me know what you think of this?

I e-mailed eBay's CEO and they replied with a simple form letter, not caring at all. It's a shame. I'm interested to hear your input.





"I'm writing you to tell you that I am very concerned about some "insider trading" activity that I have seen occurring on eBay. There are certain individuals who are picking off buy-it-now items before they have even had a chance to be indexed and seen by the general public.

These people look at only the newest listing that are Buy-It-Now. They find the ones that were underpriced by the seller and buy them. These auctions are being bought merely 30 seconds after the listings made it to eBay. I personally wrote a script that scraped eBay every 2 seconds for new listings and assembled them into a database. These members were able to buy the items a solid 10+ seconds before I was able to see the listings.

I can only guess that these are people on the inside - who work for eBay - who have the privilege of seeing listings before they appear in the search results. I am identifying one bidder who is a particular perpetrator casmereofcourse.

casmereofcourse purchased approximately 600 cellular telephones per month using the Buy-It-Now feature. He beats regular eBayers to the new listings. These phones have been underpriced by their sellers. He would be able to resell these phones for at least $100 more than he paid for them. Meaning, he is making $60,000 per month! That is more than enough motivation for somebody who works for eBay to do this.

I urge you to investigate this matter and be very careful who you involve in the investigation."

Have u ever heard of competition?, well sounds like there on your ass, they got u bookmarked mate, unless your better than them stop selling the same phones and change your user id if i were you, or u can start a war ofcourse, it can be quite amusing sometimes. but like i said ONLY if your better than them.
