I don't do purses and that sort of stuff, but I picked up a seemingly nice one at a yard sale this morning. I have no idea the value, should I list it? What are the precautions?

You should have No problem, as long as Describe it in such a way that the Buyer CLEARLY Knows that they are NOT going to be the First owners of the bag.
