Ebay screwing with listings lately?
 

My sales have PLUMMETED in the last 2 days, and my listings, which used to start showing up on pages 2-4, are now buried like 10 pages back...

Anyone else notice a sales plummet in the last few days?

Yeah...funny you say that and ironicaly I logged on to come across this thread. My sales went from cruising on 75 mph to almost an abrupt hault! What I sell should be selling, but isn't.
Very strange...

My listings ARE there - they are just like 10 pages back farther than they have been in the last few days. My account is about 2 months old, my feedback is about 50 - I'm approaching top seller status which will help my listings, but... still... my sales have sucked the last 2 days.

I pay to have the ebay store option, lets me list fixed price for 5 cents instead of 50. With that I get some sales tracking tools. I had been averaging about $30 a day, in the last 36 hours thats dropped to $2. (I sell high volume, low price stuff).

No clue what happened.

At least your listings are showing up, some of mine aren't even showing at all. It's weird I have to change the "Sort by" option to "Time: newly listed" for my listings to show up at all.

what about featuring it?

Pretty sure only powersellers can feature an item. And my item is high volume low cost, so to feature an item I'd LOSE money.

How about this, Yesterday I searched for a Pair of New Balance Sneakers and only 3 Sellers came up, (All Powersellers, Of course), It was a VERY Generic search: "New Balance Sneakers" and then I filtered out all those results that were not My size (13)

I have bought these sneakers for myself many times before and there has ALWAYS been Pages of results for the same search for me to choose from.

I did notice that ALL 3 Sellers were Located VERY Close to me. (2 in the Same zip code)

I simply think that this is Ebay Trying to "Regionalize" as many transactions as Possible

Which Honestly I think is their way to ensure secure transactions. Think about it if a seller sells you a bad item, it would not be that hard to track them down personally assumming all the sellers info is on the up-n-up

Basically, Ebay is trying to get rid of all small time sellers. If you are not volume seller or powerseller you are lucky if your listings even show up 10 pages back. Certain peak times you can do an exact word for word search of your item and it will not show.
I have switched my products over from the few legit accounts I did have to total stealth. I figured why pay ebay fees if they are not even going to show my product.
