How to sell lots of items and not spend time on it?????

I asked this on ebay's answer center a while back and got a bunch of moronic and trollish responses so I'm asking here where people are smarter.

Let's say you have 1000 small items a week that you gotta ship out. You are not going to kill your profits by hiring somebody. Instead, you are going to find a way to spend as little time as possible on each auction.

So tell me please, say you got 1000 items sold each week and the margins are only $1-2 each and they're small items. So how do you spend as little time as possible on each?

I have seen these techniques from people who sell thousands of low-margin items a week:

1) They don't answer email, ever, and if asked repeated emails by the same buyer, they answer it slowly.
2) Their packing job is really really fast and very sloppy.

Make templates for all listings. If one account goes to crap, pick the next template and rotate. I always have about 3-4 active accounts and 6-8 templates...
