| polandfreshness | 12-23-2007 07:40 AM | I KEEP getting suspended Dear aspkin,
In your ebay final guide to making a new account you stated that you can create an ebay account with a bogus address for the credit card address but just use the same city and state, but i've noticed that doesn't work anymore and you need to use the same zipcode only.
And i was wondering if they keep using my zipcode as a way to track my accounts down, because i keep getting suspended and im selling legit items, also i was wondering could they be suspending my accounts because i am using photobucket to directly embed pictures onto my auctions?
please reply back, anyone who has answers to my questions. |
aspkin | 12-23-2007 01:48 PM | There's no way eBay can track you down by your Zip code. There are too many people using that same zip code to do so.
It's most likely something else, like using the same password between accounts, using Paypal for multiple accounts, forgetting to change your IP address or delete cookies, or a number of other reasons. |
powerbid | 12-23-2007 03:28 PM | i agree what aspkin says... i m working on 4 accounts now.. one is just powerseller (the main account) |
polandfreshness | 12-23-2007 05:14 PM | aspkin hey what do you mean using paypal for multiple accounts? i actually use different passwords for each account and i use the same paypal but different email address.
i really have no idea why ebay keeps tracking me, do you think think they are tracking me through the photo hosting website that i use? |
polandfreshness | 12-23-2007 06:37 PM | hmm so are you saying i shouldnt use the "same paypal" ? |
aspkin | 12-23-2007 06:43 PM | Yes, things have changed. EBay and Paypal are linking accounts the moment someone pays your Paypal from eBay. They probably even share IP and cookie information now. But yes, using paypal for muliple accounts links those accounts now.

polandfreshness | 12-23-2007 07:13 PM | so are you saying that if i use the same paypal to accept payments, if i make a new ebay account and i accept payments to the same paypal, my ebay account will automatically close? |
polandfreshness | 12-23-2007 07:14 PM | if so than i will make a new paypal as well |
ebay100 | 12-23-2007 08:03 PM | The key I found out is.. Cookies ..use CCleaner everytime you go into Ebay..
EB;) |
polandfreshness | 12-24-2007 01:00 AM | what is ccleaner? |
powerbid | 12-24-2007 05:07 AM | do u have to pay ebay fees on any previous suspended accounts? |
polandfreshness | 12-24-2007 01:08 PM | hmm yeah i did but im not going to, im just going to cancel those credit cards |

But still get a merchant account and get as many buyers to pay with that as possible. |

Chris Hanson | 01-08-2008 05:00 PM | If your Ebay is account was made after Nov.20th, you do need to offer paypal |
ebayhateluv | 01-08-2008 06:28 PM | F.Y.I. Modee + I have over 40 accounts created Prior to Nov 20- all Grandfathered.. All setup with Auctiva accts, free landline phone numbers, the whole package.. (I personally know what they are capable of-- I used 2 of them the last 2 weeks- already each acct has generated over $8k)...
PM either of us for info |
Is there no way around having to offer PayPal with a new eBay account?? I had every intention of not using PayPal at all (offering a Merchant Account and CCNow), but this has thrown a major glitch in the works. |
