paypal/ebay not letting me in with firefox
 

Today I tried logging into paypal and ebay using firefox this is the message i get.
The browser you are using is rejecting cookies.

Why is this?
I am sorry if I am asking dumb questions. I really know nothing about computers.

in firefox go to tools>options then click privacy
make sure checkbox is checked near "accept cookies from sites" and select from drop down menu "keep until i close firefox"

and then check numbers 3 and 4.
