If you have partners, then the LLC must file a tax return.
If it is just you, then they are saying it is fine to report the income on your personal tax return (there is probably a form for this, or maybe they just use sschedule C). You may also have to pay FICA taxes on any earnings, since (in most cases) the income from an LLC is treated as wages.
The basic benefit of this is that there is less of a paperwork hassle. But if you are unsure of how to report this, then you will definitely want to hire someone to do your taxes so that you can stay legal.
