Question about deleting a PayPal account
 

A couple months back I had my verified PayPal limited because of fraudulent behavior. In reality, I was limited because PayPal never got a cent from me (gifted payments). Well, I decided to make a new PayPal account with my real name, friend's address, and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ phone number. This account is not verified and has about $2.50. What I want to do is just delete it and wait until September (when I go to college) to make a new bank account so that I can make a new verified PayPal account. I was just wondering if they can trace me when I make a new account. Like will this raise and flags? I'll probably find a new address and number, but I'll be keeping the same name.

Should always tweak your name - flip it, slice it a bit with other letters.

Well my first account was a fictitious name... Tony Bear LOL. Then I decided to use my real name. What do you mean by slice it a with other letters. I want my new PayPal account to be legit as in I'll be using it as my official account so I don't want anything l33t. Haha.

Well I think that closing your paypal account is rash - either way, that card and bank account can never be used again for Paypal - so remember that.

I don't know EXACTLY if names will link paypal accounts together (e.g. Ton of Smiths out there for sure) but why risk? If your name is Tony Bear (for example) - make it Bear Tony or Tonny Beear - like that little changes - nothing "l33t" as you say ha - you gamers...=P

Well, I'm talking about my second PayPal account. Its not linked to any bank account. The only important information that I put there is my name. Everything else is just ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

Seems like your plan is set then - shouldn't be a problem. If I were in your place, I still would not like paypal having my full name but hey, if you're all legit - it won't be a problem.
