Default eBay stores

ebay keeps changing itself up so thought I would get some fresh input on the advantages to an eBay store. I had one years ago and cant recall if it was of any use or not

I have a user with 6 items in the $200-$600 range. Same products over and over. Niche items so low volume, maybe 6 or 8 sales monthly

Any thoughts if a store is valuable here? Do items show in categories and searches? Or does buyer need to look at store on their own?

Listing fees are pretty low so saving that is a non issue. Mostly curious how ebay handles the stock in a store.

Had a store once because it said you sell a certain amount of items per month. In my case, they still hit me with 30 day selling limit. It was probably due to the items I was selling.

"Do items show in categories and searches? Or does buyer need to look at store on their own?"

Do you mean if a buyer searches for a particular item in your store or throughout ebay?

like if someone was searching for the item in the ebay search bar..would it show up like a normal listing would??
also does having a store lower the fees on the item? i thought it did but im not certain..also if you get a store you only have to pay the one time fee of like $50 right?

Right, like self is asking. Mainly what happens with items in store? Are they included in main ebay searches? Or is store only used when a buyer clicks on "see store" or whatever...

If buyer needs to click on your profile and then click on store it seems somewhat useless. But if they see items in real ebay world it may be helpful on permanent stock. Again, just looking for input from current store users. ebay cant seem to keep anything one way or another for very long. So if it just sits there gathering dust it may be a waste of money.

Yes, it would show up as a normal listing with a door symbol next to your user id. They have different store types for people who list a certain amount of items. $50 is I think the premuim one for people who sell 250 listings a month, they get more exposure as well. The fee is a monthly type.

I want to bump this and also add: Does anyone know if this can help at all to get traffic to a stand alone website?

Without breaking any of the 3.2 million rules.

Are you allowed to add your site anywhere or at least hint to it?

Thanks

Getting Started with eBay Shops

eBay Shops: Tutorials

Few points, yes you can have your own website. You dont need to be 'secretive'.Sometimes the item takes a while to ;show' Par for the course these days, Consider the fees to make sure it's worthwhile. ebay will fiddle with your shop subscription if they think your store is not up to what they want. Run into trouble and fees become payable at once.

I have close to 4000 items listed ..the store feature is really gone now opposed to the old way.. as the fees went up and you get the same exposure now as fixed price .. it used to be you had to have live auctions to than drive the traffic into the store ..since they went with full exposure for .5 cents from the old .2 cent ... my sales have doubled the last 3 months .. THANK YOU EBAY FOR DOING SOMETHING CORRECT !!!!!
