- - Renting a mail box

| kwanv | 08-02-2010 08:11 PM | Renting a mail box Hi,
I'm trying to create a new stealth ebay and paypal account and I'm going to use this company for mail forwarding but ultimately use it for address verification. Here's the site: Mail Boxes Etc. UK and Ireland
My question is, after I use it to verify my address, create an LLC and open a bank account, could I cancel the subscription after, say a month? If I shouldn't be doing it this way, please leave suggestions as to how I should go about forming a stealth address.
Thank you! |
Interesting proposition - I use mailboxes that, while useful for eBay, have more uses to me in my other endeavours. So I would recommend keeping it open but hey, that's me.
If you don't intend to receive mail, you can always close it. |
| kwanv | 08-03-2010 05:45 AM | Thanks for the quick response. I'm going to be using it to receive mail during the first month to gradually increase my feedback. After that I shall close it since I wont be needing it after I become a seller. |
| GreenBean | 08-03-2010 07:04 AM | Why? What are you doing about item returns? Where will they go?
If you can't afford a mail box then .....to be stealth successfully, you should have access to the address. The address should be new and not associated with anything previously suspended. You know that I hope :pop2: |
| forummember | 08-03-2010 08:15 AM | Better off keeping it open. Mailboxes have advantages and are well worth the cost. You can have returns sent to it, that way your personal residence is kept secret. Parcels can be sent there. Mail only relating to the Stealth account can be sent there. Keep it open, it is an important part of the stealth method. |
| kwanv | 08-03-2010 08:31 AM | Thanks for the advice, I completely understand now. |
| waterproof | 08-03-2010 05:51 PM | Yes, you will want an address for return items. At the very least you can use the same box for other personal use.?.?
And if you paid "X" amount for the box for, lets say, 6 months or so, then at least keep it for the time you have it for..you paid for it.
I have a PO Box and only have about less than 10 items a year sent there, but it is my address for Ebay and Paypal.
Good luck!

| SaiJin | 08-04-2010 08:32 AM | Kwanv, before anything though, I hope you have gotten the stealth book from Aspkin and studied it? It'd be a lot of time , energy and emotions wasted if you made 1 wrong step and caused your acc to be linked and banned again. |
| DogFacedBoy | 08-07-2010 02:17 PM | I have always wondered about the mailboxes at say for instance the UPS Store.
1) I'm assuming these actually have a street address and box number....right?
2) If you rent the smallest one available and someone returns a large item or you receive a large item what happens? Will they accept it...hold it for you somewhere until you have the chance to pick it up? |
| jeffweico | 08-07-2010 04:28 PM | Yes they will. In fact, they will even send you am email to let you know you have a package.
I believe they charge a storage fee after a week (could be wrong) so you might want to ask them about that. |
| forummember | 08-07-2010 04:29 PM | MBE hold parcels for a week and then charge for storing. |

A fee for holding it only seems fair or what would be the point of anyone ever renting a larger box. |

| jbluntz | 08-09-2010 07:01 AM | We're talking about a business mailbox, business has nothing to with names, how many people work in your average place of business? |
All depends on the mailbox store too. If it's a private one, then there is less likely any problems with clerk holding packages in other names. Easier with business box because, well, it costs more and the box office likes their money.
As for personal mailboxes, if you chat with the clerk they can be cool about that - private businesses with the mailbox that is. |

Does anyone know where I can find a private place to rent a mailbox from in my area? What should I google? |

Silly idea |

| HurricaneHuntr | 10-18-2011 08:02 AM | Yep. Bobs bobbers. You can use that. Make sure you use an s on thebfirst name. I even sign for the pkgs with the business name. But if you think they can't find out who owns that box if they really want to, you're naive.

| slappzilla | 10-18-2011 08:02 AM | I would be using a business name, but what do you mean by "business names are not checked"? |
| HurricaneHuntr | 10-18-2011 08:05 AM | The more I think about it, the more I realize that getting ems and eBay stuff at the same address is risky. Gonna find me an abnadoned house this week and do late night pickups of returns
