is it possible that they are doing this to vero item sellers? to all that this has happened to , are you selling items of risk?

I can't see ebay doing this to every uncle barney selling his wrench from the garage. It has to be name brands, designer, or risk items?

Replying to your post above, Paypal also does not require users to fax any documents initially when you sign up, however you would need to do so at some point of paypal's account life, With Ebay paying out their money to ebay buyers for items not as described or not received without touching any money in paypal account, I believe that is the reason they are now will be asking for all verification documents to lower their risk of complains, after all, ebay is now taking part of resolution process between buyer and seller, Ebay at the point of returning money back to the buyer has no recourse to recover their funds once refund is completed back to the buyer. Ebay has no right to touch any money in paypal account. While paypal and ebay are the same company, they are separate. Just my input. But that is right to the point of the issue. Let me know what you guys think?

You are right they are not, if you are selling no name items or out of your house items it should be no problem, but aren't we on ebay to make money and not simple clear out our garage?, I am not talking about P90X or any beachbody products, Yes it is brand name item that paypal is fine with any invoice, but it seems Ebay is not. We are talking about as seen on tv products, Ab Circle pro, or tower 200, they are not Vero items and do are not taken off ebay by Vero. They are allowed to be sold on ebay, old account you can still sell them no problem, new accounts, even that have been aged for 3 or so month, when listed even one or 2 of them that's about it, you are hit with papers to submit, 90% of ebay all ⊗⊗⊗⊗, we all know this fact, if they start hitting all sellers, what can buyers and sellers possible buy and sell?, this puzzles me.

Any way around this, anyone else with similar problems, Please post...

Here is the thing.... It is going to become more and more difficult to sell items on eBay if they are highly counterfeited. Even if your items are 100% genuine.

The internet is awash in counterfeit EVERYTHING these days. And the brand owners have been complaining to the government for a few years now.

During the Bush administration, they never made fighting counterfeits a priority. But the Obama administration has. I'm not being political, these are simply facts.

So websites like eBay and Amazon, and payment processors like PayPal - and even your merchant account provider - are all under pressure to help stop the sale of counterfeit goods. The problem is, these providers have no way of knowing if what you sell is genuine or not. So they are demanding documentation. That way, if they ever get called on it, they can say "well, look at what we do to try to prevent it - what else can we do?"

The problem is that sellers of genuine merchandise are sometimes shut down as well. But I don't see it getting better any time soon.
