Unpaid Item on 3 week old stealth account

Not sure what to do here. I have a guy with 0 feedback who won an item 8 days ago. I've sent invoices twice and emailed him 2 more reminders. Now Its a new stealth account, would it be wise for me to open a case for unpaid item? I don't want to bring attention to my account for the matter of a few $ in fee's.

Hmm, always hard to decide. If the item is under $40, then I just write it off. I'd give one more try. Might be third time lucky :pop2:

DO you mean emailed thro' the ebay system> For this third time, I'd asl for his details and try direct contact:ranger:

No no - do the unpaid transaction - bogus 0 feedback bidders are plentiful. I open up unpaids all the time with no problems.

I don't think the question is just opening a dispute, it is opening a dispute on a brand new stealth account.

FWIW I too have opened dispute on stealth accounts

Right. I have no problem opening disputes, but trying to snooze under the bed sheets on this newbie account.

Never encountered a problem when opening a dispute. Although, I would weigh things up on a new stealth account.

SaiJin 08-09-2010 10:54 AM

normally I wait 2 weeks before opening disputes.
And specially if it's only a few $ worth of items.

I'd think that if you open a dispute, it'd have more positive note on you, since you are the one that the buyer did wrong to? Just a thought.

I have open disputes when I had only 10 or so feedback - didnt cause me problems. All depends on item and such of course - no VeRo for me so my experience on that is low
