Seller Performance Rating

My problem is different. Ebay asks us to insert shipping time in Business days. Mandatory. I insert 20 or 30. Most of my items are shipped from Hong Kong. Each listing states in a red framed table "Please Read!

This item is custom made and it takes 2 - 3 days for processing. Our standard delivery is up to three weeks. "

Ebay tells me regardless of the two insertions, if after one week a buyer punishes me for non delivery in feedback and ratings, I have no protection.

I wanted to open a premium store but was not permitted. There is a big difference between $0.20 & $0.05 charge per listing. :heh:I closed my store and finally removed all my listings except for the few North American based items.

I am being punished for telling the truth. The buyer is protected regardless of their action.

Anyone have experience in this area.

Unfortunately the message you added holds no weight with customers. They will still make their own decision as to when they should have what they ordered. Weather it's right or wrong for customers to penalize you when you have been up front is debatable, therefore eBay wont protect you. It's better to be up front. Some will not mind the wait if the merchandise is good, but if you lead people on they will resent you, which will make things worse.

Ya, I've had this issue before on an account. Nothing you can do at all. Like IDK says, doesn't matter what you write in ad.

You can try a follow up emeil direct to buyer after each sale very clearly reminding them of delivery times and ask if they are still ok with purchase.

I tried this and it helped a little. But you still get pissy buyers who freak out. And even if they say no problem, they still ding you on delivery times badly once and awhile.

Its eBay, they want it super fast and super cheap....
