My next evaluation for eBay is in about a week for PowerSeller/Top Rate seller. It says on the daily performance between December 2009 - July 2010 that I've not met the requirements. However, I have met the requirements for the next evaluation in a week, do eBay evaluate everything you've done up to the day of the evaluation?

Yes they do - and seem to auto-promote too.

I don't see why we would want a powerseller status. Anyone?

Some positives and negatives are listed on eBay website.

the only thing I see as positive is you take take SLIGHTLY more hits.
negative is... you are wearing a hat with a bright red flag. So they pay attention to you.

Buyers think its nice too. More confidence. We know its unfounded, but they dont.

Allows you to promote your listings. My sales when I used to have it multiplied.

Ya, I noticed a huge difference too. They don't treat small or new sellers very well these days for sure.

Is Top Rated Seller status tied in with Power Seller status? If so, then it's definitely something to strive for. TRS's get away with selling ANYTHING! As long as you have no complaints you can get away with murder.

powerseller is easy to get. Top rated you have a very high DSR rating and consistency.
So it's almost like this: Seller -> Powerseller ->Topseller
In my opinion it': "Abuse me" -> "bullseye for eBay" -> "overrated balony & beat me up more"
