Changing ebay user id question

I have an old account that I stop using cause of a VERO violation. Now that I have a new account, I want to change the user name to something similar to the past account. Has anyone experienced/did this? Im just looking for some input/suggestions. Thanks

Even that similar name turns up if anyone does a seller search....see the potential for problems?

Similar username - similar items - old account with VeRo action...the link is too easy - be careful.

What is the pros of having similar name like the old one? I dont think buyers will see similar name like old one and buy from your new account for sure. Hmm, interesting.

Don't have a user name too similar to a banned one.

Agreed. Buyers are searching items, not your username. But I can gaurantee that if they are similar and you're selling similar items that you are diging your own grave.
If your username has that much recognition, why not open your own store?
