For anyone currently selling on eBay - This is a good read

If you are currently selling on eBay take a few moments and read this story.

It does contain some very interesting information.

Two of her quotes that jump out:

but in actuality, eBay policies are the bane of their existence.

this "ingenious" plan was that it left little wiggle room for common sense or understanding

She seems somewhat aware of the mistakes in some of the policies and changes. But the tone I get from her is somewhat slanted. She was dealing with the big boys for the most part. So even though she was somewhat aware and compassionate of sellers struggles out there, I don't think her or most of the eBay staff have any idea how easy it is for the little guy to get boxed around. She sees it, she was aware of it, but was quick to right it off as isolated.

Interesting read. love how there's an entire department dedicated to the top 1%. They get calls to "behave themselves". We just get taken into the ally and shot...

Did you see her ebay account? Looks like she's got a good supplier lol

Well to a degree, I can understand that eB needs to protect themselves.
HOWEVER, how they did it have been less from "decent" in my view and I'm sure a lot of other innocent people's view.

It always takes 2 to create a problem. Not just either the seller or buyer. It's always both and this time eB I think is just shooting themselves in the foot.

This female who worked for eB, I think she was only able to see from one angle.

Not bad article I think, it is always good to find people opinions who worked in ebay.

Really interesting. Thanks for the link.

One very large seller had a program created that would automatically report hundreds of a seller's listings every few seconds, causing him to be able to bring down the entire inventory of many of his competitors within a day or less,

This is exactly the kind of thing that's always bothered me. I used to get my listings pulled all the time.

How much you want to bet he just got a warning too. Obviously they will want to take care of the big money makers, but it sounds like they got pretty high free range....
