How to ship to a legit PO Box with a stealth account? HELP!
 

Ok, so I have a stealth account that I have been using for the past year or so. I recently just moved and had to open a PO Box down south near where I am going to be living at for the next 3 months. I purchased a few items on Ebay and I want to have them shipped to my PO Box. The only issue is, you can only have things shipped to a PO Box in the name of the person that is on it. For example, say my name is Mike Smith and my stealth name was Rick James. I could not have a package sent to Rick James with my Post Office box. I already tried and they make me sign for it and must have the stealth ID on file. What can I do? Can I mail things to my PO Box without having a name on it? Like say instead of mailing to Rick James PO BOX 456 Jackson Florida, could I just have it simply addressed to PO BOX 456 Jackson Florida? Also how would that work if I had to sign for something? Please I need some help I have a couple of items that need to be shipped and I don't want to have them shipped down here if I can't pick them up at the post office! Please help!

could you have po box address in paypal say c/o mike smith? just slip it somewhere on address as an edit. If the pobox person name is on it, they will be more likely to allow, I mean the name cant link you to banned accounts because it is different address, I doubt it would flag you, but there is always a risk.

alternatively, just email seller after sale and say its for a diferent name eg mike smith, especially as its smae address, most sellers would be ok with this - try that as first option

Do you mean have it sent to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ NAME c/o REAL NAME? Would that allow me with the real name to pick it up though? Also, do you HAVE to have a name on a package that is sent to a PO Box? Thanks

yes - either ask your box or better still do a test letter, their rules on t & c are often not adhered to and they accept the post if the name is somewhere on there right? eg c/o

my advice is still to first check with seller if the will just send to name you want as first recourse, that way you keep your real name OFF paypals sytem.

Ok yea that may work, I was just wondering if I was going to ship to a PO Box if I even had to put a name in the first place? I have sold things before where I just shipped to a PO Box with no name.

true, a few test letters will get you the answer..............

What I do is add a second person the the card at the PO and let them know that some mail will come in my nieces, nephews name and they can also pick up mail at my box.

So far so good with using it.

The only time I got myself into a pickle is at a small local PO I had a ring with 8-10 PO box keys stuck in the box and the PO Master walked by and said,
"holy cow, how many keys did you have made for that box?". Then asked if he could take the old ones off my hands. I had to tell him that I have another box close to my work and until I check I wont know which one is the correct one.

That is the answer.

Call the county recorder where your PO Box is. Ask them what the requirements are for registering a d/b/a. Usually it is cheap and one simple form to fill out. d/b/a means DOING BUSINESS AS.

So you would be REAL GUY d/b/a STEALTH GUY.

The USPS *WILL* accept it. Plenty of businesses are a person's name. Most designers, in fact. So this is not as unusual as it first seems.

I always said that it was a company name and never had a problem. I used a weird name that could definitely be used as a company name .
