HELP: Policy Compliance
 

Can someone explain to me how policy compliance affects your chances of becoming a PowerSeller.

I'm having an evalution and I've had one policy violation which was for entering a wrong title in the name of a listing (i am on medium now)

Does this affect it at all?

I would think that it would affect your chance. My powerseller had no policy compliance violations prior to becoming powerseller. Ha now it has a few but whatever. I wouldn't stress about it.

What aspect of becoming powerseller really has you wanting it so badly?

NM, I think I found one aspect.

Mainly because it would increase my sales.


I've checked under performance and it says for low policy breaches that you're allowed four.

Yes you're allowed a few - I have had a few myself but PRE-instatement of powerseller status, they might be very picky who they choose to promote...

that being said, I had no violations before being auto-promoted.

On 'Other Criteria' it says:
Low severity policy breaches (last 3 months) less than 4

I've had 1 which was 9 weeks ago (MC018 Your eBay listing has been removed: Compilation and Informational Media (394392013)

Misleading title or something

Do you think this will be a problem...?

Problem is with eBay, you never know.

In my opinion, and not against you or anything, I think that anything could be a problem. That being said, I hope you get the status you want - keep us posted =)

But, my evaluation period was over a year, then on the 21st July it evaluated and then said I needed to do more. Since then I've done everything needed, but it didn't update in my daily performance. Will the evaluation happening now cover what I've done since the last evaluation?

I won't think it should but prob need input from other members with more experience. My instatement was auto - no review, no messages, no nothing not even a welcome package sent to a stealth address ha.

I think they must do it a bit differently over here in the U.K. Anyway, all the ticks are green. Now I'm just waiting for them to update it to PS, then hopefully Top Seller.

Same here. No opt-in, it just happened.

I did not opt in when my time came a couple years ago, now I am reconsidering. Any idea how I would go about opting in If not invited? I am eligible.

Still not a PS even though everything is ticked. Does it take a few days for them to upgrade you?

2-4 weeks usually.
