Ebay wont let me sell

Here is the situation
I am listing risky/vero/namebrand items.

I opened an account, it is linked to a very reputable account with over 9k feedbacks. This is probably not a good idea in case if it gets suspended b/c both will get the boot. But I figured they would warn me first and then I can go the alias information route.
So as far as the listing and limitation. I was listing for about a week, 4-5 items a day. Then on about the 9th day I decided to put up about 14 items. The last two items failed and I have not been able to list since. I get the following error from ebay:

Attention Seller:

In order to maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on accounts. At this time, you are not able to list this item.
We sincerely value you as a member of our trading community and look forward to a continued successful relationship.

Click here for a window with eBay's policy on replica or counterfeit items
Click here for more information on limits that may affect your selling activity

I just sent a message to trust and safety and I am waiting for there response. I was hoping someone could let me know what my fate is and what the best way to go is. I guess I just got too confident!

Thanks for the help.

Seller 01-10-2008 10:14 PM

yeah i guess its b/c the name on the account is trusted.

Can you help me out.

Where did I go wrong? how can i prevent this in the future?

You would think once you create a new account, the same thing is going to happen. Maybe having a non 0 feedback rating helps.

Has anyone else had this problem, or a complete suspension...
if so how do we prevent it...

just curious,,, is it even possible to get 200+ feedbacks on an account selling vero items

FYI-- I have sold vero stuff in the past without a problem, this time I tried a wide variety,,, mostly clothing.

sycore 01-10-2008 10:38 PM

Drop the brand name or change it as little as possible to get your point across without actually using the complete brand name. Example:
If nike air jordans. Try just using air jordans or nike air

Jonas 01-11-2008 10:49 AM

I would make a new account and wait until selling limits go away while bugging ebay about it.

ivegotinfo 01-11-2008 12:11 PM

yeah theywill never let you sell from that account. i had the same exact thing, had a powerseller account, made another new account under the same name, started selling the same vero items as i sold on powerseller account and got suspended. i got that account reinstated but im not selling there again.
now i just use my new ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts to slowly sell...very slowly.

Seller 01-11-2008 09:32 PM

How Slooooo

so how slow do we have to list. from my experience I was able to list 3-5 items, then i listed my whole inventory of a few items and BAM selling limits.
I guess if your able to get 5 accounts going that allow you to sell 5 items your set. My goal is to sell 30-50 items a day. That would be some nice CHING.

How slowly do you list, and on how many differant accounts.

I will let you know what ebay says in there reply.

I will tell you this one of the items was a newb ura hat, it is probably a good idea to stay away from them. I have not had an issue with any other items. Two Newb ura hats removed. Put them on the shat:mad: list.

Actually, I've had this seller limit placed on my old ebay accounts before. And with me it was usually a weekly limit. Like once i reached about 25 items in a week, I would continuously get that message until Sunday rolled around again and it was like starting a fresh week. And the thing is the more feedback I gained the more I was able to list without getting that message.

Once I hit 50 feedback, I was listing about 8 - 12 vero items daily without the limit.

ebayhateluv 01-12-2008 12:41 AM

HI- OMG, you can do that now? 8-12 veros/day? or, are you referring to last year?
thanks
(looking for your secret :))

woodant 01-12-2008 12:32 PM

My suggestion would be never talk to the safe and trust guy. 'Cuz they are gonna suspend you after"consideration". I had the same experience before. Now I am selling VERO on several accounts. 1 list per account until it sold. It's been couple of weeks and I am still OK....

Seller 01-12-2008 01:45 PM

1 listing per account!!!

^^
I will let you know if I am able to list anytime soon. Is there anything I should do in the future to be able to get this 7 day restriction? unfortunately I already contacted trust and safety.

1 listing per account sounds pretty scary. I might have to get into some higher priced stuff.

ivegotinfo 01-12-2008 01:45 PM

yep thats what i do,
one vero per account until sold, then wait a few days per account and list again. but never list all at the same time, and never list the same types of items all at the same time. i usually have like 1 day in between each account, and i rotate the items i sell on each
yeah you do have to get either a lot more accounts or get into pricier stuff, i have around 100$ profit off each item i sell.

Jonas 01-12-2008 02:50 PM

I usually try to keep the number of item I sell at or below the number on my feedback score.

I am referring to as recent as this november...and my account was suspended around Dec 10th! I then found this forum and got started back up 2 weeks ago. I'm now doing 3 veros a day, but have not been told anything yet and haven't even gotten the very message from ebay.

I've setup 2 merchant accounts with Auctioncheckout and CCnow and am trying to stay away from paypal altogether. I will try to increase the veros as my feedback gets higher. I used to notice that whenever i started a new account and tried to sell 5 vero items in any one day, that's when I get the vero message immediately. I am going to stick with 3 or 4 veros max per day for now and once I hit 50 feedback, I will definitely up the amount.

Also I think different veros are treated differently. For example, items like Armani, Gucci, Versace, Christian Dior, Evisu, Rolex, etc are kinda much higher priced and are treated stricter than puma, nike, jordan, polo, tommy, nautica, etc. This is of course, what I think because I used to list a certain high $ name brand jeans before and would consistently get the vero message. Then I moved to one of the lower $ name brand items and could sell more with less hassle from vero.

Just Let Me Selllll!!!!!!!!!

They just let me post. I am gonna take it easy this time.

I am in the process of setting up another solid account with a UPS address, accountnow cc, and a tracphone. I might decide to just use grand central and return the tracphone. It sound like GC is the way to go, it even lets you use a landline which is cool. I would also be using CCNOW so i can accept paypal, but i think merchant plus also looks pretty good b/c you can automate invoices through authorize.net and put a button in your listings.

I am just curious as to what the second best way to go is for an address. There arent 5 UPS stores around me and I dont think a PO box will work very well...

This forum is awesome. Thanks for all of the great info. People helping People!

ebayhateluv 01-12-2008 09:30 PM

HI- Ive got a 3 month old acct, 65 feedback, has paypal accepted,, will NOT let me list a rolex box, nor a montblanc pen refill, nor a alfred dunhill wallet..
so- like you said- maybe some names, are treated on a higher scale than others-- I can only guess Tiffany is at the very top of the list since the lawsuit?

jollybee 01-12-2008 10:48 PM

Hello. I am relatively new to selling on ebay-just getting my feet wet--not a powerseller by any means. Everyone seems so knowledgeable. Does anyone happen to know how many items a seller with legit items can start off selling per day with about 30fb @ 100% and be safe without raising any flags or limits? I see powersellers who have joined less than 2 yrs. ago and have 5000+ fb--seems a short time to sell so much and couldn't have started out selling very slow at all at that rate but mabey i'm missing something.

I never would have thought of any of this stuff until I found this forum--I just thought it was like the classifieds--you pay--you sell--no problem, figured ebay and paypal welcomed the more sales--the more $$$ for them so they welcomed high selling---My eyes are wide open now!!!

Thanks for any info.

I would guess most designer watches would be very highly considered as well...seeing the amount of counterfeits out there...especially ROLEX
