eBay Bans Third-Party Checkout

Couldn't see it posted but thought it would be interesting for people.

What does this mean for authorize.net and auctiva?

Well, if that article is right and eB is going to eliminate ALL merchant accounts, it means that people using 2007 accounts, auctiva , etc will need to revise all their auctions.

No more 3rd Party CC processing, which is really balony.

@Killed, what it means today is to not panic. ebay have not given enough info but there will be a viable work-around. Certainly some rough moments ahead but it will be probable their system can be tweaked to suit us :ranger:

eBay is NOT banning merchant accounts. They are banning third party checkout - that is different. You can still use merchant accounts with eBay after June 2011.

That's good to know. Glad I moved this thread to the top, since it didn't get any response in the wrong Section.

For those going looking for their pills, Australian ebayers got told paypal was to be the only option. That did not happen.

If any of you are naive enough to think 3rd party processing will get wiped out in two countries that have thousands using those services then find a sand box and play in it. :ranger:

With Paypal expansion, we are able to add PayPal Payment Pro, is there any good about it?

tbh, I'm building kids' playgrounds now. Intend to sell them on ebay to former sellers :rolleyes:
