Default International sites

I feel a bit foolish asking this, but do listings on .com not show on UK and Australia sites?

I always just assumed they did. But I noticed on one of my accounts a UK add-on for $.50 when creating listings. I need to pay attention more....

I have shipping available to UK and AU. And I have sold recently to Australia. But did the buyer go out of his way to see .com listings? Is it smart to cross list on UK ans AU site? And is that allowed?

I always assumed if you ship to a country it showed on said countries site. No?

Yes it's now a payable add-on. I have to pay 30p for my listings to show up in the U.S.

That might explain why I can't recall any UK buyers recently...have had Australia and all over...even HK and the like.

Well, ya. I added the UK fee to a few listings and ran some test searches on gumshoo

They now show up. Before, nada! And nothing shows on au at all...

If eBay wants more listing fees, fine. But they need to have a list of countries. Not just UK. Thats all I see anyway

I swear I cant wrap my head around what these clowns do sometimes. They really need to get their heads out of their asses.

They make enormous fees on items that sell. Its in their best interest to display it to everyone they can... I paid 50 cents to show an item that the FVF is $25. Ya, don't want people to see the item but we can make an extra 50 cents... Idiots!

Don't most of us try to stay away from selling internationally because of the difficulty of confirming delivery and the chances of being skammed?
As for what I do right now, I'll pass

I don't sell anything without tracking. Its brutally expensive and I don't get a ton of sales international. But if they are cool paying the shipping why not. I just send to US, UK and AU.

That's okay with me. Usually the cost of such type of shipping ends up costing as much or more than my items themselves, but if they're willing to cover it...why not?

Problem is, even though they see the costs way up front long before they click that little button, they can still hurt you on DSR. Like you are screwing them over...

I would guess around a 1/3 of international sales lower the DSR because of costs. I really wish it was cheaper. I lose a good 30% of business because of the high cost of shipping.
