hopefully I'm posting this in the correct spot (new here). I have a question about my ebay account. I have been using my sisters account for several years. I have decided to stop selling on ebay after I got "took" for over $230.00 from an international buyer (said she never received the package and I have no tracking as it's international. Ebay voted in her favor). I now owe ebay the money (they couldn't chargeback my paypal account because I closed it last month). I am seriously considering not paying ebay the fee back as I think it's insane that I got charged for something I in fact shipped.

My question is, one....will they send me to collection? Two...will this affect my sisters credit of they do? I changed my sisters registered name to mine this past week on the account. Can they still trace it back to her? I'm not worried about my credit but I am hers. I just got an email from them today and it had my sisters name on it? If the registered name is now mine why am I receiving communication from them in her name?

Guess I'm going to have to suck it up and pay ebay if my sisters credit will be affected. Any advise?

1. I hope you learn your lesson about using trackings for such high dollar item from now on.
2. Yes, they will absolutely send you to collection and will not stop harassing your sister.
3. I don't know why you closed your PP account, but okay.
4. Yes, they'll tag your sister's credit. So this is lesson #2 that you should use your own account from now on to prevent damaged to others close to you.

I'd assume she has her SSN with PP correct? Because this is how they'll get you and her.

This is the situation where eB / PP will be very vicious, so you can't trust them as they'll only cover themselves, as you should have done in the first place by buying that tracking.
But even so, anything international is usually not covered by PP.

I'm sure other members will have more advice, but here is mine for now.

Oh yes, I've learned my lesson to say the least. Thanks for your advise. I have been using her account (with her approval of course) since 2004.
The paypal account I have had linked to her account has been mine for several years now. They can still tag her though?

like I said if they have her SSN, yes.
2004 acc... what a waste....

If you have the power to save that acc, I suggest you do it.
Then you can search the forums here for "Pre 07" acc, this way you will learn how to use those accounts to their fullest.

Also, it's time to recommend you the stealth guide. This will help you in the near future for sure.

A reason why you should always send high value items trackable and signed for.
