recently close ebay account, does it get evaluated?
 

does someone know if a recently closed ebay account (meaning before the 180 days before complete removal of it from ebay are up) is subject to the monthly performance verifications?

or put differently, if one cannot close an account which is flagged as suspended, can ebay suspend an account which is flagged as "account termination pending" (again, before the 180 days are up of course).

just to clarify.. I meant "can ebay suspend an account flagged as termination pending", if that account does not meet the performance standards they evaluate for each month.

Never have seen an "account termination pending", but have had listing restriction for 7 days and 30 days. Then if you list again, suspension.
Once an account is tagged, you have to go legit selling for awhile or else it is toast. Best to just move on and open new account. If the account is closed it should not be subjected to DSR.

thanks, I basically asked this cause I have few legit accounts and one of them went bad in dsr.. but it is not suspended, still, each new month, they lower the privileges on it. so eventually this would get suspended, I didnt' wanna take chances and end up with suspension of that accont preventing me from selling using other ones. so I closed it down. I just wanted to confirm with good folks of this site whether during this 6 month time frame before they shut it down completely, this "pending closure" account will still get evaluated for dsrs each month etc.

How bad was the DSR?

hi, it's 5 low count in item described and about 6-7 in s/h charges

they will start rolling off starting december or so, but I haven't had any activity on account last 2-3 months, and yet each month they keep writing me that the selling privileges aer limited, plus I see the seller performance bar going down from good to poor etc.. I know this shouldn't be happening, cause if at any given evlauation say 3 months ago the dsrs are X count, and then they do not increase due to non activity over next few months, then logic dictates, the standings of seller should nto change either.. but I guess many things on ebay aren't exactly.. logical.

I mean if my dsrs are X and Y 5 months ago, then at the evaluation 5 months ago, they should set account to whatever (supended/limited etc) based on those ratings.. and then if no new activity occurs and no rolling out of ratings yet, then acount should not go down. right?

anyway, I closed it. I just hope they cannot suspend accounts pending closure (ie, they do not evaluate them). in a similar way that one cannot close an account which is in suspension.
